Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what the BountyCam app and the service at bountycam.app, operated by a solo developer in Australia ("we"), collect and why.
What we collect
- Wallet address. Your public Solana address, used to sign you in and to settle bounties.
- Bounties you create. Title, category, the location you choose, photo prompts, reward and timings.
- Mission evidence. When you capture evidence as a Scout: the photos, the time of capture, and your device's location at capture, used to check you were at the mission location.
- Seeker verification. If you verify a Seeker device, a record that your wallet holds a Seeker Genesis Token.
- Server logs. Request paths and times, kept for operating the service.
We do not track your location in the background, show ads, or sell personal data.
Who can see what
- Photos are stored privately. Only the requester of the bounty and BountyCam's arbiter (when a dispute is opened) can view them.
- Before a Scout accepts, only an approximate distance to a bounty is shown; the exact spot is shown after acceptance.
- The requester never sees a Scout's live location.
- On chain, a bounty's escrow records wallet addresses, amounts, states and a cryptographic hash of the evidence. Blockchain records are public and permanent; they never contain the photos or locations themselves.
Where data is stored
On a server in Sydney, Australia (OVHcloud), and on the Solana blockchain as described above.
